Outreach
One of the objectives under our Outreach and Partnership programme is to liaise with and support the work of other organisations in the community focused on specific aspects of older people’s care to ensure that together we are providing the best services and support to the people of Cork city & County. The most notable development in recent years has been the establishment of our Education Centre, Northridge House, from where the following innovative developments are being rolled out.
With the establishment of Northridge House Education & Research Centre we are building relevant links and rolling out the following initiatives:
- Dementia Friendly Communities
- Family Support Workshops – Supported by Genio
- Partnerships with Age Action and The Alzheimer’s Society
- Support for local community groups
- Donation to the new Marymount Hospice to establish the Day Care Unit which has been named the St. Luke’s Day Care Ward
- The support of Clinical Pastoral Education at Northridge House
