Aim:
To enhance the understanding and safety needs for Resident and staff in the area of Bus Transport.
Objectives:
This New Course is geared for Bus Drivers, attending Staff and Volunteers involved in Resident Outings etc..
Participants will receive a Certificate in Bus Safety and also a Certificate in Manual Handling.
Areas of the Course will include:
- The roles of the driver and assistant
- Passanger care
- Revision of patient handling principles
- Embarking/disembarking
- Use of lifting aids, clamping devices etc
